Leadership Tallahassee, a division of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, is a year-long program that educates and encourages participants to actively seek positive and constructive changes in the community through leadership roles. The selection process is competitive and qualified applicants must have demonstrated leadership capabilities in the public or private sector or show a motivation to contribute to the Tallahassee community. Ying received her bachelor’s degree from Sichuan University before attending Georgia State University for her master’s degree in professional accounting and master of taxation. She is involved in both the Tallahassee community and the accounting profession. Ying is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). Ying is a notable leader in the community. She currently serves as the President of the Tallahassee Regional Estate Planning Council. Formerly, she was the President and Vice President of the Tallahassee Rugao Sister City, Treasurer of the North American Butterfly Association’s North Florida Hairstreak Chapter, and Board Member of the Asian Coalition of Tallahassee. Ying also served as a volunteer interpreter for a Tallahassee Delegate’s trip to China in 2012. Additionally, she is a graduate of Opportunity Tallahassee. Ying has 15 years of public accounting experience working in areas of retail, manufacture, health care, auto dealership, and professional services.
