David Donten, shareholder with the CPA firm of Caler, Donten, Levine, Cohen, Porter & Veil, P.A. (CDL) joined the Board of Directors of Quail Valley CharitiesCPA Joins Board of Quail Valley Charities Donten joins three other board members in overseeing grants distributed to children and education charities based in Indian River County. Throughout the year, Quail Valley Golf Club, River Club and The Pointe host a variety of fundraising events including golf, tennis and bridge tournaments, as well as a 5K run. The money raised during these events is then distributed to charities that have successfully completed a grant application and interview process through Quail Valley Charities. Donten has more than 35 years of public accounting experience and is one of the founding shareholders of CDL. He specializes in corporate, individual, fiduciary, real estate and construction taxation. Donten also serves on the board of directors of charities based in Palm Beach County including The Baxter Foundation, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County and Big Dog Ranch Rescue. He also serves as an advisory board member for The Place of Hope and The Quantum House. Since its inception in 2001, Quail Valley Charities’ mission is to fund programs in Indian River County that support children, their education and well-being. Last year alone, 36 charities received $607,000 in grant money. In total, Quail Valley Charities has donated more than $6.6 million over that last 18 years.
