CBIZ ANNOUNCES EMPLOYEE PROMOTIONS

Clearwater, FL (January 31, 2020) — The Tampa Bay office of CBIZ MHM, LLC announces the promotions of six employees.

Christine McAlarney has been promoted to managing director in the audit department. McAlarney has more than 13 years of experience providing audit and financial reporting services to domestic and international companies in the public and private sectors, which includes commercial and SEC. She received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from Florida Atlantic University and her Master’s degree in accounting from Florida International University.

Linden Arakawa has been promoted to director in the audit department. He joined CBIZ in 2011 and gained extensive experience in all aspects of audit. He has advised companies in matters related to quality of earnings, transaction due diligence, post-transaction integration for middle market M&A activity, and reporting requirements of the SEC. Notably, Linden has worked with some of the CBIZ’s largest international clients. Arakawa received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from St. Leo University. He is a CPA and a Tampa Connection graduate.

Melissa Albano has been promoted to senior manager in our audit department. She has over 15 years’ experience in public accounting. She has experience with a wide range of assurance services, including financial statement audits, reviews and compilations. Albano received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of South Florida. She is a CPA and the finance committee chair at Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church.

John Maceovsky has been promoted to managing director in the tax department. Maceovsky has been with CBIZ for more than 22 years. With his expertise in estate, gift, and trust taxation, he helps clients minimize their tax obligations through tax planning and consulting. Maceovsky received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of South Florida. He is a CPA and a member of the AICPA and FICPA. Maceovsky has served on the Goodwill-Suncoast Industries Board of Directors, the Academy of the Holy Names Parents Annual Fund Committee and the WEDU Estate and Tax Planning Seminar Planning Committee. He is also a Tampa Connection graduate.

Jessica Riley has been promoted to director in the tax department. She began her career with a Big Four accounting firm in Cleveland and joined CBIZ Tampa Bay in 2004. Her special areas of expertise include 13577 Feather Sound Drive  Suite 400  Clearwater, FL 33762  Phone (727) 572-1400  Fax (727) 571-1933 federal and state consulting and compliance for private and publicly held companies, transaction advisory as to structure and implementation, and partnership capital account maintenance. Riley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Cleveland State University. She is a CPA and a member of the AICPA, FICPA, and the Tampa Bay Women of Certified Public Accountants.

Alicia Polyakov has been promoted to manager in the tax department. Polyakov has nine years of experience in public accounting with emphasis on federal and state returns for partnerships, corporations, individuals, estates, and trusts. She received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in accounting from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. She is a CPA and a member of the AICPA and FICPA.
