Celina L. Jozsi, CPA, an accounting professor at the University of South Florida, received the Florida Institute of CPAs 2010 Outstanding Educator Award.
Jozsi, who earned her master's degree in accountancy at USF, has more than 25 years teaching experience and has taught at the executive graduate, MBA and undergraduate levels.
"Celina has taught hundreds of students who have successfully entered the accounting and/or financial profession and become CPAs and specialized accountants in their respective firms and companies," said Kathryn B. Anderson, CAE, FICPA CEO-Executive Director. "She supports the profession by teaching CPE to the credentialed and teaching the fundamentals to those seeking those same credentials."
Jozsi has spoken at FICPA chapter meetings, including for Gulf Coast, West Coast and Sandspur. She has been a featured speaker for Beta Alpha Psi and the FICPA's Florida Accounting and Business Expo™. Jozsi has received the Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi service awards and was honored as the Tampa Bay area's Outstanding Hispanic Woman in Education. She has received the USF School of Accountancy Outstanding Faculty Award and the Outstanding University Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award numerous times.
